The life story of Liza Minnelli could be coming to television. Magnolia Hill Productions has optioned Minnelli’s forthcoming memoir for adaptation through Warner Bros.

Television. The tome is set to explore her journey as an artist, as well as her triumphs and struggles and unique perspective on Hollywood history.

It will also focus on the impact of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) on Minnelli’s life. The memoir is the result of more than 15 years of recorded conversations between Minnelli and her long-term creative partner Michael Feinstein.

Investigative journalists and best-selling authors Josh Getlin and Heidi Evans are collaborators on the autobiography, which is being published by Grand Central Publishing. “I am beyond excited to work with Sam Haskell of Magnolia Hill Productions and Warner Bros.
