Livingston FC players get behind Epilepsy appeal

Livingston Football Club is supporting Epilepsy Scotland’s biggest-ever Christmas appeal.Goalkeepers Jack Hamilton, Shamal George and Ivan Konovalov teamed up with strikers Bruce Anderson and Joel Nouble helped promote the Scottish charity’s #BecauseOfEpilepsyScotland Christmas appeal.The appeal aims to highlight the importance of the charity’s services and how valuable they are for people living with epilepsy in Scotland.The charity provides wellbeing, welfare rights, youth group and helpline services to provide information, support and guidance for the estimated 55,000 people living with epilepsy in Scotland.Those who attend these vital support services have been sharing their stories on how they have benefited from them on the charity’s social media.Dave Black, Head of Commercial and Media Operations at Livingston FC, said: “We were really pleased to be approached by Epilepsy Scotland to help promote their #BecauseOfEpilepsyScotland Christmas Appeal 2022.“The events of the last few years have made fundraising harder than ever for charities so helping shine a spotlight on this will hopefully allow the team at Epilepsy Scotland to raise some much needed funds to continue the great work they do in supporting those affected by this condition.”He added: “With over 55,00 people in Scotland alone affected by epilepsy, the campaigning that Epilepsy Scotland do for improved healthcare, better information provision and an end to the stigma around epilepsy is incredibly important to so many people.”Lesslie Young, Epilepsy Scotland’s Chief Executive, said: “A big thank you to Livingston Football Club for supporting our Christmas appeal and raising awareness about epilepsy.“We know times are tough for people across the country due
