Livingston boss outlines World Cup break plans as they face-off against former striker Lyndon Dykes

Livingston are set to lock horns with the club’s record transfer after lining-up a friendly with Queens Park Rangers as part of their World Cup break.The Lions will travel to London and face the English Championship side on November 29 prior to a winter training camp in Turkey.

Scotland striker Lyndon Dykes was sold for £1.7 million by the Lions two years ago to QPR.Michael Beale’s side currently sit fourth in the English second tier.

After that it's a week in Turkey with Livi hoping to arrange two games whilst on their travels but neither is currently set in stone.Livi boss David Martindale said: “We’ll have time off after the Hearts game (November 12), then we’ll play QPR in a closed-door game – I want to see how big Lyndon does against my centre-halves.“We go down on the 28th, play on the 29th, then come back and go to Turkey for a week and have two games there.“Every top-flight league is off so all these teams will be looking for games.

They will be against whoever’s in Turkey, we’ll fix them up in the next two weeks.“If I stayed in Scotland I’d be very limited in who I can attract.
