Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admits that Manchester United deserve a place in the top four if they finish above his side. The Merseyside club are making a late charge for a Champions League place amid a dismal season.
They are a point behind United in fifth although have played a game more. United go into Saturday’s match with Wolves after back-to-back defeats against Brighton and West Ham.
If they fail to win again, it would open the door for Liverpool to leapfrog them for the time being should they beat strugglers Leicester on Monday. Klopp said that such unlikely acts can still happen but admitted that should United finish above them and gain a top-four place, it would be well-earned.
