Little Richard, the godfather of rock 'n roll who entertained audiences for more than seven decades with hits that include “Tutti Fruti,” “Good Golly Miss Molly,” “Lucille” and “Long Tally Sally,” has died.
He was 87.Pastor Bill Minson, a close friend of Little Richard's, told that Little Richard died Saturday morning. Minson said he also spoke to Little Richard's son, Danny Jones Penniman, and brother.
The pastor added that the family will not releasing the cause of death.Born in Macon, Georgia, on Dec. 5, 1932, the music legend, whose real name is Richard Penniman, was one of 11 siblings raised in a strict parents who only allowed the to listen to gospel music.
