A 15-month-old baby's black eye revealed a chronic blood disorder he'll have to live with for the rest of his life. Kolben Palmer’s diagnosis came after he fell and hit his head against the television unit in the lounge of his home in Paisley, Scotland.

Within a couple of hours, his parents James and Hazel realised something was badly wrong, the Daily Record reports. As they raced him to hospital, even touching the little tot led to another bruise.

His mum described it as "terrifying". Hazel, 27, said: "We took him straight to the sick kids’ hospital in Glasgow and he came out in more marks and bruising. “It was terrifying and we felt we might lose him. “We were in for a full week.
