Bring Me The Horizon have shared a new cover of the classic Oasis track ‘Wonderwall’. Check it out below. The cover of the Britpop classic song was shared today (January 29) for Spotify Singles, and sees the Sheffield band put their own distinctive stamp on the song – 30 years after its release. In the new version, the stripped-back acoustic guitar in the original is substituted for a simple electric riff, while frontman Oli Sykes gradually builds momentum with his vocals.

From there, just before the band hit the chorus, they launch into a classic BMTH-style eruption.“I don’t believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now,” Sykes belts in his signature style, amid the immense drums of Mat Nicholls. As well as developing their own version of the legendary song by Liam Gallagher and co., Bring Me The Horizon have also paid tribute to the Manchester band by recreating the famous clip of all four Oasis members as seen in the ‘Wonderwall’ music video. This includes the four of them sitting in a straight line while bassist Matt Kean, sat on the far lefthand side, reads a newspaper, Sykes looks directly at the camera, Nicholls holds a megaphone and guitarist Lee Malia looks off into the distance. All profits will be donated to Teenage Cancer Trust.

Check it out below and find out more about the charity here. The cover marks the latest entry into the long-running Spotify Singles collection, with the band joining the likes of IDLES, Wet Leg and LCD Soundsystem in contributing a cover of their choice by one of their musical heroes. Also for the collection, BMTH have shared a reimagined version of ‘YOUtopia’, which featured on their latest album ‘POST HUMAN: NeX GEn’.In the new rendition – which they have called the EarthcOre Remix.
