BBC Newcastle presenter Lisa Shaw passed away in May, just a week after having her Covid jab. Her husband, Gareth Eve, has spoken out about the couple’s final moments together.

Lisa, 44, worked for BBC Newcastle and started to suffer from “severe” headaches and a bleed on the brain a week after she had received her first Covid vaccination.

Gareth has spoken out about his last moments with this wife and heartbreakingly revealed how she gave him one final kiss before telling him, “I’m tired” and she passed away.

Lisa’s husband was by her side until the end at the high dependency unit at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle, where Lisa was being treated in intensive care for blood clots and bleeding.
