With Manchester being a city that is deeply connected to its thriving LGBTQ+ community, it’s safe to say that drag-hosted nights and events are pretty commonplace around here.
But, perhaps, there has never been something quite like this before. Supermarket giant Lidl has announced it will be hosting its first ever drag brunch - and it’s chosen Manchester as one of two cities to get in on the action.
Partnering up with meme icons Hunsnet, the event - which is aptly named ‘Live, Laugh, Lidl’ - will take place at city centre venue Impossible on Sunday, October 20. READ MORE: Beloved Northern Quarter 'rice and three' café goes up for sale - but not all is as it seems Described as allegedly ‘paying homage to Lidl’s existing ties with hun culture’, the event will feature a series of drag performances inspired by the supermarket chain, with attendees able to enjoy a host of Lidl canapes and drinks, including their Prosecco Spumante Rosé Extra Dry.
Perhaps most exciting for Lidl fans, however, will be the fact that there will be a bunch of mysterious prizes picked up from the Middle Aisle to give away throughout the event, as well as some surprise appearances from celebrity huns.
