The on-off Lib Dem leadership race is back on again, with the party hunting for its third boss in less than a year. MP Jo Swinson won a contest last summer before losing her Scottish seat at last December's general election.
Her deputy Sir Ed Davey has been holding the reins ever since – and a battle for the crown was due to kick off this month. Education spokeswoman Layla Moran and environment spokesman Wera Hobhouse had already thrown their hats into the ring.
But the race was shelved for a year amid the coronavirus crisis – before today being rescheduled yet again. The contest will now begin on June 24 with nominations closing on July 9.
