Liam Payne thanks ex Cheryl for 'giving me freedom' to do secret 100-day rehab stint

One Direction star Liam Payne has shared his experience of spending around 100 days in rehab last year. In a candid video posted on his YouTube channel, the 29-year-old singer revealed that he hit rock bottom after an appearance on Logan Paul's podcast, leading him to seek help , supported by his ex-partne r, Cheryl and son Bear.

Liam decided to enter a wellness clinic in the US that specialises in addressing past trauma. During his time in rehab, Liam says he disconnected from the outside world, leaving his phone behind and immersing himself in a healing environment.

Opening up about his return to the outside world, he admitted that turning his phone back on was a daunting experience. But he says he found solace in the supportive community that awaited him.

Art and poetry apprently became a source of comfort during his recovery journey – the star says he's now been sober from alcohol for six months.
