Liam Payne laughed as he said his ex Cheryl was the only X Factor judge who didn't give his audition a standing ovation. Today is 10 years since One Direction were formed on the ITV show, but of course Liam, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan all auditioned as solo acts originally.

To celebrate the anniversary, Liam joined Roman Kemp on the Capital Breakfast show today. After a clip of him singing Cry Me A River for one of his first auditions was played, Liam joked about how Cheryl, who he later dated and welcomed son Bear with, was the only judge who didn't rise to her feet in applause.
