Steven J. Horowitz Senior Music Writer Following the shocking sudden death of Liam Payne last month, a toxicology report confirms that the One Direction singer had traces of alcohol, cocaine and a prescription antidepressant in his body in the moments before he fell from a three-story hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.

According to a statement issued by the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office, Payne’s body underwent complete toxicology reports on his urine, blood and vitreous humour.

His family had already been informed of the findings before the findings were made public. Initial reports suggested that pink cocaine, a mixture of ketamine and other illicit drugs, was found in his system, though there is no mention of it in the statement.

Three people were detained in connection with his death, including a hotel worker, a drug dealer and a “friend” posing as Payne’s manager.
