Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction

ok.co.ukWeeks after taking a break from the limelight to focus on his health, Liam Payne has been spotted exploring Northern Ireland.The former One Direction singer previously revealed to his fans that he had "no other choice but to postpone" his South American tour dates.The news came after he suffered a health scare, when he came down with a serious kidney infection which landed him in hospital in late August.The 30-year-old told his fans that he had been in hospital for a week and was advised by doctors that he needed to rest and recover.
Weeks later, Liam has now been spotted out and about with girlfriend Kate Cassidy and reportedly filming for a 'new travel show' around Ireland.
The National Trust at Carrick-a-Rede shared their excitement on social media about welcoming the pop star and wished him a pleasant stay in Northern Ireland.
They posted on Facebook: "Welcome and Service Assistant, Josh, was over the moon yesterday when he spotted One Direction star, Liam Payne! "Josh was more than happy to share his knowledge of the site, and answer any questions Liam had (all in exchange for a pic of course!) We hope Liam had a fantastic visit to Carrick-a-Rede, and that he enjoys the rest of his time in Northern Ireland." The One Direction star has also been seen in Strandhill in County Sligo where fans were quick to snap selfies with the singer as he visited the seaside resort.
