One of the founding members of LFO has died. On Thursday, former member Brad Fischetti took to Instagram to announce the death of singer Brian “Brizz” Gillis.
While information is sparse about Gillis’ death, Fischetti revealed the tragedy and delivered a memorial for the group’s longtime fans. As Fischetti notes, Brizz is the third LFO member to die young. Cronin passed away in 2010 at 36 years old due to leukemia. Lima died in 2018 — at 41 years old — after a bout with adrenal cancer. The three put together LFO — which stood for “Lyte Funkie Ones” — while they were teenagers in New Bedford, Massachusetts. They enjoyed several late ’90s hits, including Summer Girls and Girl on TV.
