The Someone You Loved singer also hated the decor and quickly decided to move to a flat in Glasgow.Capaldi, 26, originally from Whitburn, West Lothian, said the house is now a "shell" and he is struggling to convince any workmen to take on the project.
He said he will need his upcoming second album to sell well so he can pay for the renovations.Speaking on US radio, he said: "Let's put it this way, if this album doesn't go well I have a real issue on my hands.
