Fresh off the back of his chart-topping single Forget Me, Lewis Capaldi has announced his second studio album Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent.

The follow-up to 2019 debut Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent, which reached Number 1 upon its release and has spent 178 weeks and counting on the Official Albums Chart, Lewis's second LP will be released on May 19th 2023; announced alongside a mammoth UK and European tour to kick off next January.

Announcing the album, Lewis says: "I don't want to create a new sound for myself, or reinvent myself. The songs I want to write are emotional songs, about love or loss." On the recording process, which saw him take things back to basics in his own home, Lewis adds: "I felt like I was sounding better because I was just chilled out in my own gaff.

Also, a lot of this record was made with most of the same people who I worked with on the first one: TMS, Phil Plested, Nick Atkinson and Edd Holloway.
