Lesmahagow pull out of West of Scotland League in fresh blow to setup

boss Robert Irving told Lanarkshire Live Sport the club could quit over health and safety fears. He stated the club would "give it a go" after the WOSL revealed restructured Conferences and a new fixture list last week.However, the club's stance has now changed and Irving confirmed they will bow out for this season and there will be no competitive football at Craighead Park this year.Irving said: "We have decided that the best and safest thing to do is to withdraw from the league this season."We assumed the new leagues would be more local, but now they are sending us to Maybole, Annbank, Craigmark and Ardeer, all travelling in individual cars, with no dressing room or shower facilities."We had to think long and hard as the players wanted to.
