Leslie Mann and Tim Robbins have left the Amazon Studios series The Power, and their roles in the drama from Naomi Alderman will be recast.Deadline reported the changes in the production on the streaming service, as the 10-episode show is based on Alderman's 2016 book.Mann, 50, was initially cast to play the leading character Margot Cleary-Lopez, while Rainn Wilson, 56, was cast to play Daniel Dandon, the outlet reported.

The role of Dandon was modified from a regular on the show to a recurring guest, and will remain as such moving forward. Production has restarted on the show, and scenes Mann and Robbins filmed will be reshot, the outlet reported.The show is set in a world in which teenage girls internationally gain the ability to electrocute people at will, according to a studio synopsis.

Mann was cast to play the leading character Margot Cleary-Lopez in the sci-fi drama. She was pictured earlier this month in San Diego forLouis Vuitton's 2023 Cruise Show Rainn Wilson, 56, was cast to play Daniel Dandon before leaving the project due to scheduling issues because of the pandemic, and recast with Robbins'It’s hereditary, it’s inbuilt, and it can’t be taken away from them,' the synopsis continued.
