Leon Balogun's return to Rangers has been branded as "desperate" by former Ibrox man Richard Foster.The big Nigerian defender made his return to Glasgow for a second spell, with Rangers announcing him at the end of a club social media video. Record Sport exclusively told of Michael Beale's plan to bring the 35-year-old back from his old club Queens Park Rangers with injuries coming thick and fast in pre-season to defenders Dujon Sterling and Leon King.
The latter expects to be out for a "significant amount of time" while the timeline for the recently-arrived former Chelsea man seems more positive.Yet Balogun signed a one-year deal to re-join the club after he was let go under Gio van Bronckhorst before the London boss' arrival.
The popular figure inside the dressing room admitted it was a no brainer to make the swift return to Glasgow, but Foster isn't convinced the Light Blues have done smart business.
He reckons the defender has a "nervousness" that could unsettle Beale's defence.He told BBC Sportsound: "I'm going to upset a lot of people here, I find myself doing that no matter what I say but I think it's a bit desperate from them.
