Leo Woodall's axed role in crime thriller before his Bridget Jones debut

Bridget Jones star Leo Woodall once had his scenes cut from a crime thriller starring Tom Holland.The 28-year-old actor is taking on a new romantic role in Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy, released on February 13, where he plays Roxster, Bridget's much-younger love interest.

Prior to joining the franchise, Woodall had starred in HBO's hit drama The White Lotus and played the beloved character Dexter Mayhew in Netflix's One Day.

However, the rising actor's film debut in a 2021 drama did not make it to the big screen. Woodall was cast in Marvel filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo's on-screen adaptation of Nico Walker's 2018 novel Cherry, reports the Mirror.

The thriller, available to stream on Apple TV+, was led by Spiderman star Tom Holland and explored the criminal life of its titular character.
