Southampton are keeping close tabs on Motherwell’s teenage sensation Lennon Miller. The Scotland under-21 cap is being scouted by Sport Republic, who own the Saints, French side Valenciennes and Turkish outfit Goztepe.

The group has their own scouting network that identifies players for all three clubs. They have had the talented 18-year-old scouted remotely and in person in recent weeks and are set to continue to do that over the coming weeks.

Miller, who captained Motherwell at the weekend at Hampden against Rangers, has come through the Fir Park ranks and is seen as one of the best young talents in Scotland. It would take a potential club record bid, in excess of David Turnbull’s sale to Celtic, for Motherwell to even consider selling.

The Steelmen are in a strong position as Miller was recently rewarded with improved terms and a deal until the summer of 2026.The player himself is aware of growing interest in him from north and south of the border, as well as across Europe but is happy to continue his development playing where he is at the moment.
