Aberdeen are looking to seal a deal for Liverpool youngster Leighton Clarkson as Jim Goodwin looks to land his 11th signing of a packed summer at Pittodrie.
The Dons are in talks with the English Premier League giants to loan their defensive midfielder after he has impressed in the youth ranks at Anfield.
Aberdeen sold Calvin Ramsay to Liverpool earlier in the summer and believe this will help them seal this deal as they look to use the connection to bring the 20-year-old north of the border.
Clarkson is a regular in the Reds under-23 side but they are keen for him to go out and get more first-team exposure having spent time away from the Reds last term.
