Police were called to reports of a body being found in the Leeds and Liverpool Canal on Thursday (March 25). The body of a man was pulled from the water at around 7am near King Street.
The victim, believed to be in his 30s, was found with multiple injuries. A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.
He has since been released with no further action. Three further males, aged 16, 17 and 18, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
