Leigh Centurions are set to sign State of Origin representative Nathan Peats. Rugby League Live understands the newly-promoted Centurions are in advanced talks to sign the hooker, who left Gold Coast Titans at the end of the season.
Peats, 30, has made over 150 NRL appearances and played all three games for New South Wales in the 2017 State of Origin series.
It will be Leigh's latest venture into the overseas market after recently completing the signing of utility back Brendan Elliot, who arrived in the country earlier this week.
The Centurions still have two quota spots available to them after they were given quota dispensation to sign James Bell, who was due to sign for Toronto Wolfpack.
