Leicester's R&B star Mahalia says she will 'never get over' performing with Adele

Adele. The singer was part of an all-female line-up that graced London over the weekend. Mahalia, who was born in Syston, was one of 10 artists picked by mega star Adele to perform alongside her as part of the BST Hyde Park spectacular that took place last Friday and Saturday in the capital.

Mahalia’s performances over the two days saw her on the same bill as legendary '90s singer Gabrielle - who was among Adele’s biggest inspirations - to up-and-coming star Ruti as well as the likes of recently stand-out Glastonbury performer, Self Esteem.

Thank you Adele for having me and to everybody who listened, danced and laughed with me,” she said after the second day’s performance.
