Lee Johnson has insisted he is “not delusional” as he maintained that Hibs can turn around results. The Leith side have lost six from their last seven games and look like a team in freefall after losing 1-0 to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
Danny Armstrong’s penalty was enough to keep all three points in Ayrshire with pressure mounting on the Easter Road boss. Johnson, though, believes that they have been hard done by and fully expects to see a different Hibs after the World Cup break.
He admitted: “I’m hurting. I’m not delusional – I hate not having that winning feeling and we all do, but when I look at the six losses, I think we should have more points from that.
I’ve got to be careful what I say because people don’t want to hear that, they don’t want to hear any sort of excuse after a game, but we were much better than we were on Tuesday night against Ross County.” The Hibs support were frustrated but Johnson is confident results will come.
