A nationwide firm of solicitors has been shut down after a huge hole was found in its accounts. The High Court has been told that more than £11million cannot be found that belongs to clients of Kingly Solicitors Limited.

Its network of 15 branches has been closed in what is the biggest such action by the Solicitors Regulation Authority since it shut down 18 branches of Blavo & Co over fraudulent legal aid claims five years ago.

Kingly Solicitors has head offices in London and is owned by 35-year-old Nurul Miah, who is not a lawyer. On Friday last week the SRA obtained an extension to an order freezing the accounts of the company and Kash2 Limited, also owned by Mr Miah through his company NM Group Limited.
