Lauryn Goodman has shared the heartbreaking decided she made to protect her son during the England Euros match.The 33-year-old took her son, Kairo, to watch his dad Kyle Walker play for the national team in the football tournament this week.
Her four-year-old wore an England shirt with "Daddy" and the number two on the back for the occasion. However the mum has revealed to the Daily Mail that she and Kairo left the stadium five minutes before the end to avoid a sad situation.
Lauryn said: "We left five minutes early to avoid Kairo being upset and confused that his daddy went over to his siblings but not him," "It would have been so sad for him and I wasn't going to risk that." Annie Kilner, Kyle's wife and mum to four of his boys, was also at the England match.
However she was sat with other wives and girlfriends of the players, while Lauryn sat in a different part of the stadium. Despite deciding to leave early, Lauryn said that she and her son had the "best day ever." Lauryn added: "It made me so emotional because it's like Kairo doesn't understand what his dad has done yet." She shared her time in Germany with her follows on social media and has received plenty of support from fans.
