Laura Whitmore reveals she ‘made the moves’ on boyfriend Iain Stirling, nine months after he slipped into her DMs

Laura Whitmore has revealed it was actually her who ‘made the moves’ on boyfriend Iain Stirling. The Love Island host, 34, and the show’s voiceover, Iain, have been dating now for nearly three years, after getting together in July 2017.

They met at an ITV party through mutual friend Ore Oduba, who had appeared on Strictly alongside Laura, and had kept their relationship very much on the down low on first.

Now, opening up on how love first blossomed between them, Laura revealed that Iain used to slip into her DMs, but it was her who plucked up the courage to ask him out for a drink.

Speaking to Becca Dudley on JD’s In The Duffle Bag podcast, Laura divulged: ‘When we first met [Iain] didn’t even hit on me, he was too nervous to hit on me!
