There has been another rise in the number of monkeypox cases in England, now totalling almost 200 since the disease was first identified in the UK.
The latest update confirms that an 11 additional cases of monkeypox have been found in England as of June 2, bringing the total number confirmed in England to 199 since May 7.
There are currently five confirmed cases in Scotland, two in Northern Ireland and one in Wales, taking the UK total to 207. The latest figures come after the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) issued new guidance around the disease earlier this week.
The new advice urges those with monkeypox to avoid close contact with others until their lesions have healed and any scabs have dried off.
