Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left teary-eyed when they noticed a touching tribute to the late Sir Bruce Forsyth during the opening of the 2024 launch show.
Before the celebs discovered their professional dance partners, an energetic group dance took place featuring Dave Arch, Tess Daly, Claudia Winkleman and all the judges alongside this year's pro dancers.They made their way to the BBC Television Centre on a special bus that carried a heartfelt homage to the show's former host, Sir Bruce.This year marks two decades since Strictly first graced our screens on BBC One, originally hosted by Tess and the beloved Sir Bruce back in 2004.
Despite his passing in 2017, the Beeb ensured he was remembered as the 20th anniversary celebrations kicked off. As Aljaz Skorjanec drove the bus into the studio, eagle-eyed fans at home spotted a touching reference to Bruce on the bus' number plate, leaving many in tears.The sweet nod to Brucie had some fans reaching for the tissues.
