“Big Little Lies” director Jean-Marc Vallée received a moving tribute on Tuesday night. At the Rockie Awards in Banff, Alberta, the Montreal filmmaker, who passed away suddenly on Dec.

25 last year, was honoured with the Canadian Award of Distinction.
