landlord has told young people there is no excuse for them not to get on the property ladder. Josh Parrott says he plans to semi-retire at the age of 30 with a housing portfolio, giving him the freedom to work when he wants, according to Birmingham Live.
He purchased his first house at just 19, saving up from the two jobs he worked whilst at school to afford the £115,000 property.
He rented the house out whilst he stayed at home and paid rent to his parents, saving up to buy another residence aged 21 for £140,000.
The handy businessman carried out a £20,000 revamp on the property, doing most of the labour himself after working to save money, increasing the value of the home by £60,000.
