Lanarkshire songstress set to release debut album with new band

A Lanarkshire songstress has announced the details of her new band's debut album.Carla Easton is one half of Poster Paints, who will release their self titled first record on October 14 this year.Comprising Carla and former Frightened Rabbit member Simon Liddell, the duo create warm, dreamy guitar pop calling to mind Scottish greats like Teenage Fanclub and Camera Obscura.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

She said told Lanarkshire Live : "The project started as an accident before the pandemic kicked off. Si had sent me an instrumental for a piece he had scored for a short film and asked if I could put some vocals on it. "I completely misunderstood what he was asking me to do and wrote an entire song to the piece of music and emailed it back to him.
