Lanarkshire school hits the right note after partnership with prestigious music school

Coatbridge High School welcomed students and staff from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland recently for an immersive and inspiring day of music.Pupils worked side-by-side with Bachelor of Education (Music) students from Scotland’s national conservatoire before showcasing their talents in a special performance.The unique collaboration will see Bachelor of Education (Music) students from the prestigious Glasgow music school visit the pupils and music staff at the high school in Coatbridge in order to provide musical support, mentoring and tuition to the young people.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

He told Lanarkshire Live : “All of the music staff at the school have a strong connection with the conservatoire, having studied there at one time or another. “Students from the RCS recently spent a day with some of our pupils focused entirely on music."He went on to say: “It was fantastic to be part of this and to provide them with the opportunity to perform in front of their parents, carers and invited guests.“I am so grateful to the Bachelor of Education (Music) department students and staff at the Royal Conservatoire for giving up their time and expertise to work with our young people and I am sure this
