Lanarkshire hospice picks up gong at prestigious fundraising awards

St Andrew's Hospice scooped a top prize in recognition of its most popular annual fundraising event at a recent awards ceremony.The hospice's grand snowflake ball received the 'best use of event or community fundraising initiative' at the prestigious fundraising awards.And the most-recent flagship event raised a record sum of £260,000 for the Lanarkshire hospice, which provides specialist care and support services for those living with a life-limiting illness and their loved ones.The ball, which returned to the Doubletree by Hilton Glasgow Central last November for the first time since 2019, was hosted by comedian and broadcaster Des Clarke and featured performances from saxophonist Matthew Ruddy, Strathaven and District Pipe Band, and the band WooHoo, as well as a lively auction.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
