Lanarkshire community group benefits from £7k Asda donation

A Lanarkshire community group has been given a boost to its outdoor project thanks to a donation from a local supermarket. Burnhill Action Group in Rutherglen is currently developing an outdoor hub that will serve as a meeting place that can host coffee mornings, arts and craft sessions and other local activities.

The Asda store in nearby Toryglen has now chipped in a whopping £7000 to the good cause as part of a nationwide investment by the Asda foundation into community projects across the country.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
