A community banking hub in Lanarkshire has been nominated for an award. The Cambuslang BankHub is in the running for a Scotland Loves Local prize in the Enterprising Communities category, having been nominated with two other community projects in Dumfries and Ayrshire.
The winner will be announced at the Scotland’s Towns Conference at CentreStage in Kilmarnock on Wednesday, November 16.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The hub was set up by the Access to Cash Action Group as a pilot project and since opening in 2021 has proved a success. Cambuslang Community Council's chair John Bachtler told Lanarkshire Live : "We're delighted to have been shortlisted for the Cambuslang BankHUB in the Enterprising Communities category.
