Lana Del Rey has surprised her fans by singing a song of hope on the night of the US election. The Video Games singer, 35, took to her Twitter account to share a video of herself singing You'll Never Walk Alone from the musical Carousel as the results rolled in on Tuesday night, US time.

The song will be better known to UK fans as the anthem of Liverpool F.C. thanks to the 1963 cover by scouse band Gerry and the Pacemakers that is sung at matches.
