Lana Del Rey has hit back at those who criticised her for controversial comments on double standards in the music industry. The 34-year-old singer also denied she was racist after there was a backlash for her including the likes of Beyonce, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj in her outburst.
The singer posted a lengthy message to Instagram denying her lyrics are anti-feminist or glamorise abuse. Del Rey said certain singers have had "number ones with songs about being sexy, wearing no clothes, f***ing, cheating etc" while she wanted to sing freely "without being crucified".
