Lamar Odom Reveals Drug Therapy He’s Using To Stay ‘Sober’ More Than 5 Years After Near-Fatal OD

He nearly died after overdosing during a 2015 stay at the Love Ranch in Las Vegas. Six years later, Lamar Odom, 41, is healthy and happy.

And he’s crediting his continued sobriety to drug therapy. The NBA star told Good Morning America that he’s been taking small doses of the synthetic drug ketamine under medical supervision for the past two years. “I went to rehab and did some other things, but ketamine came into my life at the right time,” Lamar told Steve Osunsami on the May 17 broadcast. “I’m feeling amazing.

I’m alive. I’m sober. I’m happy.” Lamar said he experiences a “healthy high,” and the therapy has helped him fight the urge to use drugs like cocaine.
