A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a Thai mother-of-three found dead in the Yorkshire Dales more than 20 years ago, police have said.
The remains of Lamduan Armitage, who would be 56 now, were found by hikers in a stream at Sell Gill, near Pen-y-ghent, above Horton in Ribblesdale, on September 20, 2004.
For 15 years, she remained unidentified and was referred to as the 'Lady Of The Hills' until her parents recognised her from a news report and reached out to the police.
DNA testing then went on to confirmed her identity . In a statement late on Saturday night, North Yorkshire Police stated: "A 61-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Lamduan Armitage in 2004.
