The 60 year old, best known for her starring role as Brooke Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful revealed the news as she shared a snap from her hospital bed on Mother’s Day.The actress had been enjoying a 40-mile horseback ride across Malibu this past weekend when she dismounted her horse and tripped on a rock.This then lead to her injuring her ankle after it twisted into an obscure angle. Describing the moment of her injury in an Instagram post, Katherine wrote:"At around 16 miles I got off my horse to walk down a steep and very rocky trail to give her a break.
