Lady Gaga’s ‘Smelly Cat’ doesn’t stink: Lisa Kudrow on ‘Friends’ duet

Gaga joined Lisa Kudrow, 57, on the famous yellow couch of Central Perk to honor the wacky and wonderful world of Phoebe. “Thank you for being the person for all of us on ‘Friends’ who was, I’m not sure if this is the right way to say it, but the different one or the one who was really herself,” Gaga told Kudrow after covering “Smelly Cat.” “Thank you — and thank you for carrying it along,” Kudrow responded to the iconoclast “Born this Way” singer.
Gaga belted out her own rendition of the fan favorite coffee house ode to a neglected cat who was not a friend “to those with noses.” Toward the end of the performance they were joined by a group of gospel singers.
