LadBaby stars Mark and Roxanne Hoyle have revealed the real reason why they stopped releasing Christmas songs. While they may have started off as content creators, known for posting lighthearted videos online, the duo quickly became music successes after releasing a string of festive singles between 2018 and 2022.

However, after topping the Christmas charts for five years in a row, thanks to songs including I Love Sausage Rolls and Don't Stop Me Eatin’ as well as a collaboration with Ed Sheeran and Elton John, LadBaby pulled out of the Christmas number one single race in 2023 - and now they’ve revealed the reason why.

Mark and Roxanne used the singles to raise money for the food bank charity the Trussell Trust, now known as Trussell, though faced backlash after allegations spread that they were pocketing the money.

Despite Trussell stepping in to say that the allegations were false, the pair faced online abuse, threats and blackmail attempts which led to Mark experiencing panic attacks. “I think I always will, but I’m better at dealing with them now.
