Kym Marsh set the internet alight with the news that she's dating her 29-year-old co-star Samuel Thomas over the weekend - and now, the theatre actor has had his say after a social media backlash.

The former Coronation Street star revealed on Sunday that she had met her "soul mate" Samuel, who she currently stars in 101 Dalmatians: The Musical alongside. "Met the most amazing man ever!" she wrote on Instagram with a picture of the pair kissing. However, after some fans took to the comments section to highlight the age gap between Kym and Samuel, the 29-year-old has hit back at negative opinions about their new love.

Samuel posted a cryptic quote on his own Instagram story that was seemingly directed at the critics. "Opinions are like a*******s...everyone's got one, but they're still a*******s," he wrote.

Samuel, who plays Tom Dearly in 101 Dalmatians: The Musical, had previously shared a romantic post about his relationship with Kym.
