Kym Marsh and her younger beau Samuel Thomas have reportedly called it quits, despite the former Coronation Street star previously dubbing him her "soulmate".The 48 year old actress and Sam, 29, are said to have parted ways over the festive season after a whirlwind six-month romance.The pair fell for each other when they first crossed paths, but their demanding work schedules made quality time a challenge.

Kym was starring as Cruella De Vil in the musical tour of 101 Dalmatians when she met Samuel, who played Tom Dearly.The show ran from June last year until January, and sources suggest that maintaining their spark became a struggle once Kym left the production.

A source told The Sun: "Once Kym's role in 101 Dalmatians ended it became harder to spend time together and some of the magic they had at the beginning just disappeared.

It's such a shame, especially before Christmas but Kym surrounded herself with family." OK! has contacted a representative for Kym for comment.
