France is home to the great winemakers of history, bringing us Bordeaux’s Chateau Margaux and Taittinger from Champagne. But now Australian pop star Kylie Minogue is hoping to add her name to this illustrious list.
Launching her own brand on her 52nd birthday, she is said to have designed the label, chosen the shape of the bottle and helped decide the taste of the wine.
Her 2019 Vin de France Rose goes on sale for £9 a bottle in Tesco before a wider launch along with some of her other wines. Kylie becomes the latest in a string of stars to launch their own wines including film director Francis Ford Coppola, who has a winery in the Napa Valley, California, and former England cricketer Ian Botham.
