Her upcoming album Tension is due for release in September and features already-released single Padam Padam. She said: “I was thinking years ago I want to do it when I’m younger, like I don’t want to do it when I’m at the sunset of my career. “So, I think I’ve got it right somewhere in the middle where I feel like I’ve earned the right to and have the experience to really enjoy being there.” The residency marks a return to the US for Kylie, who has not toured in North America since 2011, and she considers it something to tick off her career bucket list. The former Neighbours actress will perform tracks from Tension as well as songs from her vast catalogue, including hits like Can’t Get You Out Of My Head and All The Lovers at the 1,000-seat venue.

Patrick Nichols, president and chief executive officer of The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, said that the unique setting for Kylie was quite a change for Vegas. “Voltaire will lead a revival in high-calibre nightlife giving guests an unexpected night out, but also the opportunity to see some of their favourite artists in an intimate way," he explained. “It’s a pretty remarkable shift for the market.” In November 2020, Kylie became the first female artist to have a number one album in the UK in five consecutive decades.
